  • Where is all the coverage on Gender Equality?

Of course, there has been a change in gender equality from the 70’s to now because we are in the modern-day world where women are more empowered but there has not been enough eyes on gender equality. There has not been a significant grasp on the concept of gender equality and how it really benefits the whole population, not just women. Men can believe in gender equality because it’s the right thing to do but not really understand what impact it has on the world. Gender equality should be a subject that is talked more about in school to teach the younger generation that degrading someone based on their gender is completely wrong, matter a fact degrading someone based on anything such as skin color, race, religion is wrong. The importance of treating everyone equal is extremely important and can affect the future for the upcoming generation's if real world problems aren’t talked about. As stated, yes there has been a change in gender equality and the significance of it but there needs to be a bigger one where everyone no matter what race, gender, etc. Is getting payed the same because there doing the same job. Your gender or race should not be based on your pay! Gender equality needs to be talked about more whether that’s in classrooms, on the news, even sharing a simple photo or hashtag on social media can do a lot.
